My Friends, My World
I guess everybody will agree on this one: our -World- is our -Friends-. Right? Right.
Being a loner, a "wallflower" for those who can relate, is kind of good, in a manner of speaking. You get to know yourself, qualify on your own which is the right and which is the wrong thing to say, think or do. You get to judge others without the back-fire (nyahahahaha). And best of all, you enter a stage of calmness [...apathy] whenever one of your acquaintances (nope, not friends) fail, or damn miss failing.
On the other hand, you only have "close acquaintances" (notice how I avoid the "friend" word...) that you open your mind (part, not all) to. A normal loner (is there such a thing?!) will only be seen with one -acquaintance-, or none at all. A normal loner also thinks at the same time as he speaks (says who?!). See?
My cure for the - Socially-challenged - syndrome? Face your fears; Live your dreams (No, I didn't buy Nikes!) I worked at McDonald's for almost four years.
That period was the most exciting (so far) years of my life. Knowing others; others knowing you; people greeting you on the road, while you shop (window-shop, actually), on your work... the simple things. The things I almost missed out. Almost.
Thanks to my friends, my world opened up to another dimension. Guys, this one's for you!
